Christmas at West Berks Mencap

Well, Christmas this year was certainly different from others! We all had to adapt this year to something that was definitely not the ‘norm’. Never the less, at West Berks Mencap, we still managed to create a fun & safe environment for all service users & staff, to keep the Christmas spirit high!

In the run up to Christmas, Link Up was ‘full steam ahead’ with ensuring all orders for Art House were packed & shipped in time for the big day! Still maintaining all Covid safety rules, we kept the warehouse spick & span whilst our service users & staff kept the ball rolling with orders. Not to forget we had the classic Christmas songs playing in the warehouse as well as a Santa Hat or two appearing on people’s head!

Stella Maris & Heffernan got the lucky chance of visiting Santa in December! Other Christmas activities included baking Christmas Cookies & painting Christmas trees and decorations.

Growing 4 All were also super busy in the run up to Christmas! The guys got to make decorations to take home & share with their friends & family. These lovely decorations included wooden trees, table decorations & baubles. They also made wreaths which we then sold to the public. We hope we got to share our Christmas spirit with others through our Christmas decoration making!
