We have received a letter from West Berkshire Council giving us the statutory 6 months’ notice required to terminate all of their funding for our children’s short break funding. This means that, from 31st March 2016, all Children’s Services, except Bubble and Sibling Club, will close completely and staff will be made redundant. We would like to reassure parents and carers that until 31st March services will run as usual, including our Easter play scheme.
We are going to fight this decision, in every way that we can, but we need your help. We are holding our first meeting to inform parents and carers, who have children who use our Children Services, on how we will be responding to the Council’s cuts on Wednesday 21st October at 6.30pm at The Slater Centre, Unit E, Hambridge Road Industrial Estate, Newbury, RG14 5SS.
