We are delighted to announce the opening of our new supported living unit Jacobs Well. It is situated next door to Stella Maris house and the two share the same outside space.
Jacobs Well, like our other supported living units is a joint project with the Greenham Trust and we are very grateful to them for their continued support. It is a beautiful light airy building and has 6 self-contained flats and a communal shared living area.
We have also moved the registered office for YCS into Jacobs well which gives the staff team a much nicer area to work in and the bonus is it is central to the service provided to the clients.
We only have one room left available as all the others are full and clients began to move in from the beginning of July.
We are delighted that we have been able to make some outdoor garden space for the clients in both houses and provide some much-needed storage space for all the bikes and tricycles and other equipment that the clients need.
The house is brilliantly situated right in the centre of town allowing the clients to walk to the shops and most other amenities that they might want to use.
We are delighted that some of the clients who have been with us in Link -Up and Children’s Services over the years have been able to move into Jacobs Well.
