We have raised the money and can now start to build a fully equipped shepherds hut (Glampervan) in the grounds of the Mencap Centre to provide desperately needed respite care for children with learning disabilities and a welcome break for their families and carers.
We aim to provide 700 nights of respite care a year accommodating two carers and two children each night
Being situated in the Mencap Centre where all our Children’s services are located means the Children and carers have full access to our facilities there including a fantastic playground, sensory room, indoor play area, kitchen, toilet and shower facilities.
