Well the weather most certainly wasn’t on our side for our first Mencap charity golf day at Wokefield Estate golf club. The rain was relentless from start to finish however the golf teams fought the elements and somehow managed to play well and have fun on the course. Hugo, Fred, Kyle and Will fought valiantly and survived a trip in the lake and the end falling off a club at a crucial shot to reign victorious with a score of 98 points.
The runners up Rob, Nick, Peter and Ed in close pursuit with 96 points.
Sara our CEO and Pippa and Miles our sponsors from County Homes presented the prizes at the BBQ following the golf where we continued to raise money for Mencap with a hugely successful raffle and silent auction.
We raised a staggering figure in excess of £6,000 for the charity and a big thank you to all who supported the event.
