I am delighted to say, Graeme, Frankie, Bacchus and I completed walking the Ridgeway yesterday which ended up being over 100 miles through 5 counties. I am also pleased to say that we are not walking today!
It has been a fantastic experience, albeit we were sometimes walking on tired legs, through some of England’s beautiful countryside.
The logistics was a challenge and a huge thank you goes out to friends Louise and Peter Harris who gave up a lot of their time to be our support crew.
A big thank you also to Sara, who has the best dog friendly DB&B in Childrey. Your Sunday roast and full English breakfast were very welcome and really set us up for the day ahead.
Graeme and I would like to thank everyone of you who have been so very kind in donating. If you haven’t and could consider a donation, there is still time. As you know your donations will make a huge difference to WB Mencap.

Attached is a photo of Chequers and one of us inside the gates of Chequers, yes it’s amazing, the Ridgeway path goes inside the grounds…..plenty of cameras watching you though! There is also a photo of us approaching Ivinghoe and then one of us at the Beacon.
Many thanks to all,
Very best wishes
Gill, Graeme, Frankie & Bacchus
